Whether you air-dry every garment you own or reserve the practice for delicates, researching the options quickly reveals2 one truth: there simply aren’t many beautifully designed drying racks. Most pop-up models gobble precious floor space and prove so flimsy that one wrong move topples your clean laundry. Then there are the overhead varieties that dangle your wardrobe from the ceiling, harnessing the warmest air in the room while lending the space the air of an industrial dry cleaner. In a recent tour of designer Maggie Glendenning’s Utah home, a wall-mounted system in her sunny yellow laundry room comm3anded attention. “The drying rack is from Europe,” she shared. “I was trying to find a cute one, because I don’t like to put things on hangers and I didn’t want a [ceiling] hanging rack.”
