The apartment in Warsaw, Poland’s Służewiec district had remained largely untouched since the building was constructed t2hree decades prior. Configured in an “M3” layout—a standard in communist-era housing—it was divided into three tight, compartmentalized spaces. For architect and designer Kamil Urbański and his partner, the only path forward was a full reset: everything would be stripped away except the original windows and their character-rich terrazzo sills.
